jamie-bennett:
*Jamie turned the lights off in the kitchen and ascended the stairs to the second level of the house, a glass of water in hand. There was a bit of light in the hall from his cracked bedroom door and he slipped in silently, brown eyes landing on the spirit laid in bed. The door made a soft click as it closed and Jamie crossed to the nightstand to set his glass down before crawling into bed atop Jack.
Leaning down the brunette placed lingering kisses to the winter spirit’s forehead then cheek* Asleep already? *He asked softly, voice barely above a whisper*
Sensing a new presence nearby him, Jack opened an eye, and smiled when he saw the familiar face above him, and chuckled, winding his arms around him gently, shooting him a light, playful smile.
“It’s a trap~” he teased playfully, leaning in to kiss him deeply for a moment, enjoying the feeling of Jamie’s lips against his own, and he hummed softly. “I was just daydreaming, to be honest.”

【❄】 Red watched silently as the other trainer stood and admired the view. Yes, one could just barely see Victory Road and the Indigo Plateau looming in the distance through the fog that usually covered everything else. The view was practically burned into the Champion’s mind at this point, though that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing; he quite liked gazing out at the horizon in his downtime.
✦ It was a brief moment before the other’s voice registered. Snapping himself out of his thoughts, Red turned to face the other male, who introduced himself as Jack and stuck out a hand. Red reached out to grasp the outstretched hand and shake, giving another nod.
✦ “Red,” he tersely stated in his soft voice. “Pleasure.”
The other male seemed quite pensive, which was something Jack wasn’t used to - He’d never met someone quite as stoic and silent before, and it was interesting to the teenager. He waited patiently however, and soon enough, his hand was grasped and given a brief shake, and a name offered in return, causing Jack to smile.
Red.. That name sounded familiar. He couldn’t place it however - he was always bad at remembering things like that. “Pleasure to meet you too - so what are you doing up here, then?” he inquired, curious as always.

“Are those portals fun? I mean, when you’re not being sacked by a Yeti.” She struggled to keep a smirk off her face. Suddenly she looked past Jack and before he could react had an arrow on her bow, “Oh, target!” she yelled as she took flight and fired, being careful that she wouldn’t hit her new friend. Moments later she settled back down, “Ah, sorry about that. But yeah, Bunny. One Guardian I’m not sure I’ll ever get to shoot.”
“They can be - a little disorentating at first though.” Jack admitted. “Make your head kinda.. woozy.” he pulled a face at the memories of passing through the portals his first few times, before he blinked, startled as she flew up into the air and fired. He turned to watch her, eyebrows raised.
“I uh.. yeah. Right. So you shoot immortals as well as humans?” he asked, confused.

“Right…sometimes I forget people just know these things” She chuckled and raised her shoulder slightly. “But I’m sorry it’s far too personal you probably don’t want to hear about it” She muttered sheepishly.
She smiled wider when she felt her arms wrap back around her, returning the hug. “Well I can’t wait for your surprise snow day. I’ll be anticipating it” She smirked. “So anything else new with you Jack?” She asked.
Jack smirked slightly and leaned back against the wall, lightly tapping his fingertips against the table-top, his smirk turning into a full-fledged grin after a moment. “No, you should keep the details to yourself - there are some things that even friends shouldn’t have to hear.”
“Well I’ll just hit you when you least expect it.” Jack smirked back, tone playful. “I can’t let myself become predictable, after all.” he shook his head with mock sadness, and then chuckled. “No, nothing really. When I stopped moping I decided to go and do my rounds though, over at the other end of the world - take the snow spreading off of the hands of the snow sprites - so I’ve done a bit of travelling, I missed it more than I thought I would.”

The oldest person alive was born on April 19, 1897, meaning that April 18th, 1897 was approximately the last time the Earth was inhabited by an entirely different set of people and if you don’t think that’s the realist shit ever then you can get right on outta town.

This was the most entertaining thing she’d seen with the pirates. She on,y wished she could’ve seen their expressions. “It truly was.” She said to Jack. “They would think something is up.” She said unsure. With the state they were in now they would’ve believed a ghost was behind their misfortune.
“Hm.. probably best to leave them floundering about like they are, then.” Jack allowed, a small smirk present on his lips. There was nothing more entertaining than seeing bad people panic. He wasn’t hurting them, he was just getting them to freak out - and boy, was it fun.
